El 17 de agosto de 1993 Miguel Bru fue secuestrado, torturado, asesinado y posteriormente desaparecido por personal policial de la Comisaría 9º de la Plata. Este domingo se cumple el 15º aniversario y como todos los años, su familia junto a la AMB realizarán una vigilia frente a la dependencia, que en esta oportunidad contará con una radio abierta.

Después de 15 años, Miguel continúa desaparecido. En 1999 en juicio oral y público se condenó a perpetua a los ex policías Walter Abrigo y Justo López, por la muerte y desaparición de Miguel, y se condenó por encubrimiento al ex comisario Domingo Ojeda y al ex oficial Ramón Ceressetto.Sin embargo, su familia y la Asociación Miguel Bru continúan exigiendo la investigación penal al ex juez Amilcar Vara, cómplice y encubridor de los policías asesinos, destituido en un jury político en 1996. Se continúa exigiendo también la investigación penal al resto de los policías que estuvieron presentes en la Comisaría 9ª la noche del crimen.
El próximo domingo 17 desde las 19hs. y hasta la 1 hs. de la mañana –hora en que según testigos Miguel fue sacado sin vida de la dependencia policial- se realizará una vigilia frente a la Comisaría 9º- calle 5 y 59- conmemoración simbólica que se realiza todos los años para reclamar la aparición del cuerpo del estudiante de periodismo. En esta oportunidad se contará con una Radio Abierta y se proyectarán videos sobre Miguel y sobre los trabajos que realiza la AMB en su sede de La Plata y en la “Casa de Cultura y Oficios” de su sede en Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires.
