Rosa Bru y Alberto Mendoza Padilla -fundadores de la Asociación Miguel Bru-participaron como panelistas de la mesa “Derechos Humanos”, en el marco del conversatorio sobre relación Universidad/Sociedad, correspondiente al curso Introductorio de la Facultad de Periodismo y Comunicación Social de la UNLP.
“Venir a esta facultad, representa rememorar toda la lucha encarada por la búsqueda de Miguel, con el poyo de sus amigos, compañeros y de la misma facultad se hizo posible no sólo trazar una historia en común, sino lograr que el tema se instale en el debate público, aun hoy después de 17 años” señaló Rosa, conmovida ante un anfiteatro colmado por ingresantes del ciclo 2011. Además se proyectó el documental ¿Dónde está Miguel?, y los participantes pudieron hacer preguntas sobre el trabajo que lleva adelante la Asociación.
Por su parte el prosecretario de Derechos Humanos de esta Casa de estudios, Alberto Mendoza Padilla , dio la bienvenida a los estudiantes y destacó el rol de la Universidad Pública en los procesos sociales y en la construcción y fortalecimiento de la memoria. “Nuestra facultad ha tenido y tiene una estrecha relación con la historia de la Asociación Miguel Bru, resulta importante mantener viva esa lucha, poder entenderla enmarcada en la idea de que lo que le pasó a Miguel, no es un caso aislado, sino que mantienen una estrecha relación con nuestra historia de terror reciente, con lo que fue el terrorismo de Estado, con sus fuerzas de seguridad, con sus metodologías, con su complicidad con el poder político y judicial. De la misma manera en el aprendizaje que tuvimos de las organizaciones de derechos humanos, de las Madres y Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo, luchando por de una sociedad justa donde se garantice el respeto por los derechos humanos”, destacó Alberto.
